{recipes}: almond butter

lately i have making museli for breakfast {museli is chilled breakfast that is made up of rolled oats & various fruits and nuts} i will post my version of museli eventually! and typically i just add regular peanut butter for a great flavor & a more creamy consistency. but when i heard how easy almond butter was to make i decided to make a batch & see how it tasted in place of my usual generic, store bought peanut butter. & i was pleasantly surprised.
i love this recipe because there are only 3 ingredients & it tastes great!

this recipe is so simple, quick & delicious.

almond butter

2 cups dry roasted almonds
1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 tsp salt

place the almonds, coconut flakes & salt into a food processor. let the blade work its magic & allow the food processor to run for about 10 minutes. once the almonds are broken down the mixture will turn into a powder and will then eventually begin to break down & form into a spread. it just takes time! for a thinner spread let the processor run for a longer amount of time.

i love almond butter on toast, fruit or mixed into any hot or cold breakfast cereal
